Investment in Cape Verde
![]()
Perhaps no other market in the past 20 years has risen so quickly from obscurity as Cape Verde. The former Portuguse colony, now a flourishing, independent democracy, is fully supportive of direct forighn investment.
Although Cape Verde remains outside the EU its currerency is locked to Euro, providing a stable investment platform.  Perhaps the best news is that there is no VAT or IVA on new properties and Capital Gains Tax is just 3% on 70% of the gain.
Climate
The weather in Cape Verde  idyllic, typically 3-5 degrees Celsius warmer than The Canaries, with 10 to 12 hours sunshine per day and very little rainfall.
A Place for All Seasons
Cape Verde is an all year round destination and  offers a similar climate to the Caribbean without the need to cross the Atlantic.
There is a wide variety of accommodation available from self catering apartments to 5 star all-inclusive resorts. Many of the hotels are located directly on the beach.
